2010 Minor Provincial Championships

  Please keep in mind clubs are “Not Permitted” to compete in these Minor Provincial Championships. All entries must be school teams. All forms and fees must be submitted to the Provincial Office prior to the deadline. There are still a few events where hosts are not yet secured. If you are interested in hosting, please contact the office. These will be awarded on a first come first served basis.

  Please note that the deadline to enter the minor provincial tournaments is January 31, 2010. All fees must accompany the registration forms. Team registration fees are set at $200.00 for all Mini U11 and Mini U12 tournaments, and $250.00 for all other events (Bantam U13 to Juvenile U17).

  Please note your spot will not be secured if the funds are not received with the application.

2010 Minor Basketball Championships Hosting Application
  For anyone wishing to host "2010 Minor Basketball Championship", please download the Hosting Application below, and compete the information on the hosting application, and send it to the NLBA office on or before the October 31st deadline.

  Please circle or highlight the tournament(s) you wish to host. The dates have been decided by the NLBA to ensure ample officials for all events. Please note the “A” “B” & “C” divisions added in various categories. If you circle more than one, number your requests in order of priority. The deadline for applications is October 31, 2009.

  Please note that at the NLBA’s AGM in June 2009 the following the recommendation made and approved:

    * U11 Events for West Coast – Trial basis for 2010 to gauge the amount of interest.

2009-10 Minor Club Basketball Season
   As we enter the fall of the season it is once again a reminder to start minor basketball in the province. At this point I realize many minor programs will soon be up and running. Enclosed are three forms, which require completion prior to our insurance cut-off date of October 31, 2009. After this date all insurance for clubs registered from last season will expire.

  All forms enclosed are clearly marked and must be fully completed by members of your association. Please make sure that all fields are filled in.

League Affiliation Form: This form is to be completed by the executive members of your association. It enables our association to record all leagues and their executive members across the province. The cost for minor league affiliation is $50.00, and it provides your association with voting privileges and 50% of costs incurred for one representative to travel to our Annual General Meeting each June.

Coaching Registration Form: This form is to be fully completed for each coach and volunteer for the league. Please ensure the addresses are fully completed, including the postal codes. Please ensure you place the correct mailing address for all participants on the form. For instance if an individual has a ‘P.O. Box’, this is the address you will need to use. This is imperative for insurance requirements. The registration fee is $14.00 per executive member, coach, and volunteers.

Player Registration Form: This form is to be fully completed for each participant on each team in your league. Please ensure the addresses are fully completed, including the postal codes. Please ensure you place the correct mailing address for all participants on the form. For instance if an individual has a ‘P.O. Box’, this is the address you will need to use. This is imperative for insurance requirements. The individual registration fee is $14.00 per player, executive member, coach, and volunteer.
  • The East and West Coast will be divided at Gander, with Gander included in the West Coast Category
  • Exceptions may be permitted upon submission of written requests sent to the office for executive approval.
  • All ages are as of January 1st, of that year.
